House Bill 1318

Through extensive lobbying and alliance building efforts, the Pittsburgh League of Young Voters organized a broad-based coalition of groups to oppose House Bill 1318, which would require all Pennsylvanians to bring photo ID to the polls and prohibit ex-offenders on parole or probation from voting. This coalition organized a press conference on the steps of the Pittsburgh State Office Building and successfully pushed the Pennsylvania State Senate to amend the bill, removing the photo ID and ex-offender provisions.
